Application of BOPPPS Teaching Model in Vascular Surgery Teaching Rounds
Objective:To explore the application of the BOPPPS teaching model in vascular surgery teaching rounds. Methods:Eighteen interns from January to June 2021 were selected as the experimental group and taught rounds using the BOPPPS teaching model.Another eighteen interns from alternate months were selected as the control group and taughtusing traditional teaching rounds. The experimental group incorporated six modules of introduction,objectives,pre-assessment,participatory learning,post-assessment,and summary into the teaching rounds with specific content. The effectiveness evaluation included the final.exam scores of both groups,a questionnaire survey on the satisfaction of interns in the experimental group with the teaching rounds, and their personal gains. Results:The average final exam score of the experimental group was(90.11±2.84)points,while that of the control group was(86±3.27)points.The average score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),with a satisfaction rate of 94%and a high personal gain rate of 83%in the experimental group. Conclusion:The application of the BOPPPS model in teaching rounds in vascular surgery can help improve students'theoretical scores and satisfaction, and is worthy of promotion.
