Application of PDCA Cycle Combined with Scenario Simulation in Neonatal Resuscitation Program(NRP)Teaching for Non-Pediatric Specialty Resident Physicians
Objective:To explore the application effect of PDCA cycle combined with scenario simulation teaching in Neonatal Resuscitation Program(NRP)teaching for non-pediatric specialty resident physicians. Methods:A total of 96 non-pediatric specialty resident physicians undergoing standardized training from July 2019 to July 2021 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 48 participants in each group. The experimental group adopted the teaching method of PDCA cycle combined with scenario simulation, while the control group used traditional teaching methods. The theoretical examination scores and clinical skill operation assessment scores of the two groups of resident physicians were analyzed and compared. The teaching satisfaction of the two groups of physicians was investigated through questionnaire surveys, and t-tests were conducted using SPSS 23.0 statistical software. Results:The theoretical examination scores of the experimental group and the control group were(76.08±2.61)and(74.41±1.98)points,respectively,and the clinical skill operation assessment scores were(17.35±1.38)and(16.37±1.41)points,respectively.The scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P=0.001;P=0.001).Compared with the control group, the experimental group of physicians showed significant improvement in their ability to solve practical problems, understand and memorize knowledge points, cooperate as a team, and cope with emergencies(mental resilience),with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P=0.001;P=0.008;P=0.015;P=0.001).The physicians in the experimental group believed that the course design was more reasonable(P=0.003).Both groups of physicians believed that NRP training for non-pediatric specialty resident physicians was necessary(P=0.203).Conclusion:The PDCA cycle combined with scenario simulation teaching model can improve the training effect of NRP for non-pediatric specialty resident physicians, enhance their ability to solve practical problems, and promote the integration of theory and practice.
