Exploring the Application of POGIL Blended Online Teaching Method in Emergency Nursing Training
Objective:To explore the application effect of Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning(POGIL)blended online teaching in emergency nursing training.Methods:Forty-six emergency nursing interns from May 2020 to May 2021 were selected as the experimental subjects.They were divided into two groups according to their internship time.The control group of 23 interns received traditional clinical teaching,while the experimental group of 23 interns received POGIL blended online teaching.Results:The experimental group showed higher scores in specialty theoretical knowledge,practical skills,and problem-solving ability compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The satisfaction survey results at the end of the training showed that the scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group in all aspects,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:POGIL blended online teaching effectively improves the theoretical and practical scores of nursing interns,increases teaching satisfaction,facilitates nursing interns'participation in clinical activities,and effectively cultivates their thinking ability.
