Evaluation of the Application of TBL Teaching Method Based on Cooperative Orientation in Health Assessment Training Course
Objective:This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the TBL teaching method based on cooperative orientation in the health assessment training course for nursing students.Methods:Twenty-eight nursing students from the 2019 class were selected as the control group and received conventional training methods for the training course.Thirty students from the same class were selected as the experimental group and were taught using the TBL teaching method based on cooperative orientation. The differences in training scores,self-directed learning abilities, and cooperative tendencies between the two groups of students before and after the course were evaluated. Results:The experimental group had significantly higher scores in training outcomes, overall self-directed learning abilities, dimensions of motivation, planning and implementation, interpersonal communication, total scores of cooperative tendencies, and dimensions of reciprocity and cooperativeness compared to the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,83.3%to 96.6%of students in the experimental group believed that they were able to grasp the key points and contents of the training knowledge during the teaching process, facilitating the learning of training knowledge, achieving widespread student recognition. Conclusion:The TBL teaching method based on cooperative orientation can be applied to health assessment training, which helps improve students'learning abilities and teamwork skills.
