Experimental Study on Implementing Patient-Scenario Immersive CBL Teaching Method with Three-Act Cases of TCM Dominant Diseases
Objective:Based on clinical diagnosis and treatment processes, this study designs three-act cases incorporating TCM dominant diseases and uses the patient-scenario immersive method to build a CBL teaching method suitable for TCM-related majors. Methods:The study targets the 2019 cohort, randomly divided into control and experimental groups, using three-act or single-act cases for analysis with different identities(control group remained as students),implementing the CBL teaching method, and evaluating teaching effectiveness from objective and subjective aspects. Results:The three-act case and scenario immersive CBL teaching method significantly improved students'performance, with statistically significant differences compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,it enhanced students'learning interest and ability to analyze and solve problems, beneficial for clinical thinking training. Conclusion:Using three-act cases incorporating TCM dominant diseases as a carrier, combined with the patient-scenario immersive CBL teaching method,is conducive to achieving the training objectives of TCM-related majors.
