Survey on Anxiety and Sleep Status of Undergraduate Students in a Dental College in Chongqing during the Academic Years 2020-2021
Objective:To understand the anxiety and sleep status of dental students in a university in Chongqing during the COVID-19 pandemic and the normalization of epidemic prevention and control,and to provide a basis for taking proactive intervention measures.Methods:Dental students from a university in Chongqing were surveyed using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and other methods.An online questionnaire was used to investigate the anxiety and sleep status of dental students during the COVID-19 pandemic and the normalization of epidemic prevention and control.Results:Compared with the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2020,undergraduate students'sleep time decreased significantly during the normalization of epidemic prevention and control in 2021.There were no statistically significant differences in anxiety scores and anxiety detection rates between 2021 and 2020.The daily sleep time of undergraduate students was negatively correlated with anxiety scores.Conclusion:During the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic prevention and control period,universities should continue to increase positive social support to maintain the psychological health of college students.
