Correlation Study on Smartphone Addiction and Time Management Tendency among Medical Students in the Post-Pandemic Era
Objective:To investigate the current status and relationship between smartphone addiction and time management tendency among medical students in the post-pandemic era,and provide a basis for improving the learning efficiency of medical students.Methods:A survey was conducted using the Smartphone Addiction Scale and Time Management Tendency Scale among 311 medical students from four medical colleges in Shenyang.Results:The total score of time management tendency among medical students in the post-pandemic era was(149.97±26.38)points,with statistical differences found in gender,duration of exercise per session,and whether the phone was kept on24 hours(P<0.05).The total score of smartphone addiction was(51.54±14.22)points,with statistical differences found in major and whether parents advised to reduce phone usage(P<0.05).The four factors of smartphone addiction and the total score were positively correlated with the three dimensions and total score of time management tendency(r=0.254,P<0.01).Conclusion:Time management tendency is an important factor influencing smartphone addiction among medical students in the post-pandemic era
