Evaluation and Analysis of the Quality of the First Batch of Nursing(Midwifery)Professionals
Objective:To understand the core competence of midwives among nursing(midwifery)undergraduate graduates and evaluate the feasibility and scientificity of the talent training program in the nursing(midwifery)specialty at Putian University.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted using the Midwife Core Competence Scale among nursing(midwifery)undergraduate graduates from Putian University graduating from 2011 to 2016.Results:A total of 260 individuals were surveyed,with an average total score of midwife core competence of(3.83±0.68),indicating a moderate level.Conclusion:The undergraduate talent training program in nursing(midwifery)at Putian University is feasible and meets the needs of students for employment and clinical work positions.Future midwifery education should focus on strengthening students'clinical practice and research capabilities,as well as enhancing students'professional identity to reduce the turnover rate of clinical midwives.
