An Analysis of Teaching Quality and Satisfaction of Online Teaching from the Student Perspective—Taking Occupational Therapy Majoras an Example
Objective:To assess the quality of online teaching and student satisfaction in practical courses of occupational therapy through student surveys and course performance analysis. Methods:The study focused on the practical course"Environmental Modification and Assistive Technology"taught online to the 2018 cohort of occupational therapy students, while the 2017 cohort received traditional offline teaching.Surveys were distributed to students using"Questionnaire Star,"and course performance was analyzed based on written exam scores and practical assessment scores to evaluate the effectiveness of online teaching for this course. Results:The practical assessment scores of the 2018 cohort were significantly higher than those of the 2017 cohort, while there were no statistically significant differences in overall grades(P=0.655)and theoretical exam scores(P=0.264)between the two cohorts.Survey results indicated the need for optimization of the course content. Conclusion:Online teaching for practical occupational therapy courses can achieve the expected teaching outcomes.Students can adapt to online teaching modes and anticipate further optimization and reform of course content.
