Application of the Gibbs Reflective Cycle Model Combined with SimMom Simulation Teaching in Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Midwifery Training
Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of the Gibbs Reflective Cycle model combined with SimMom simulation teaching in obstetrics and gynecology resident midwifery training. Methods:Using random number allocation,27 resident physicians participating in standardized training for obstetrics and gynecology from January 2020 to January 2021 were divided into a control group of 13 and an experimental group of 14.The control group received SimMom simulation teaching, while the experimental group received the Gibbs Reflective Cycle model combined with SimMom simulation teaching. After training, the resident physicians were evaluated, and the teaching effects of the two methods were compared. Results:The scores of the two assessments of resident physicians in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction of resident physicians with the Gibbs Reflective Cycle model combined teaching method was higher than that with the SimMom simulation teaching method(P<0.05).Conclusion:The Gibbs Reflective Cycle model can effectively enhance the subjective initiative of resident physicians in simulated training, improve their comprehensive abilities, and gain recognition from resident physicians.
