Application of PDCA Cycle Teaching Combined with Modified Mini-CEX Evaluation System in Clinical Teaching of Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics
Objective:To explore the application effect of PDCA cycle teaching combined with modified Mini-CEX evaluation system in clinical teaching of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics, and to improve the clinical comprehensive ability of professional master's degree students.Methods:Thirty-two professional master's degree students majoring in traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics from Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine in 2019 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 16 students in each group. The control group received clinical teaching using traditional teaching methods, while the experimental group received clinical teaching using PDCA cycle teaching. After 8 weeks of teaching,a modified Mini-CEX assessment was conducted to evaluate clinical abilities. Results:The clinical comprehensive assessment scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction of students in the experimental group was higher. Conclusion:PDCA cycle teaching combined with modified Mini-CEX evaluation system is an effective method to assess and improve the clinical training effect of professional master's degree students.
