Establishment and Application Evaluation of a Video Multimedia Resource Library in Orthopedic Theory Teaching
Objective:To establish a video multimedia resource library for orthopedic theory teaching and evaluate its application. Methods:Relevant knowledge points were analyzed and sorted according to the teaching syllabus and requirements.Video resources matching these points were selected from public education platforms to form a video resource library for teaching use.The study subjects were clinical medicine undergraduate students from 2021-2022.The 33 students taught using the resource library in 2022 were designated as the experimental group, while the 34 students taught without it in 2021 served as the control group. The application effect was evaluated through questionnaires and theoretical assessments. Results:A total of 31 knowledge points suitable for video demonstration or supplementary teaching were identified, averaging 3.1 points per lecture. The established resource library stored 68 video resources with a total duration of approximately 206 minutes, averaging about 2.2 videos per knowledge point. The satisfaction and effectiveness rates of the teaching staff and experimental group students were both 100%in the questionnaire survey. The experimental group students also showed higher excellent and good rates in theoretical assessments compared to the control group. Conclusion:The establishment and use of the orthopedic theory teaching video resource library help improve students'learning interest and performance and assist teachers in preparing teaching materials, thereby creating conditions for enhancing teaching quality.
