Application of Flipped Classroom Combined with WeChat Platform in Training Newly Employed Nurses in Emergency Department
Objective:To explore the effectiveness of using a flipped classroom combined with the WeChat platform for standardized training of newly employed nurses in the emergency department.Methods:Sixty-seven newly employed nurses undergoing standardized training in the emergency department were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received training using a flipped classroom combined with the WeChat platform, while the control group received traditional on-the-job training. After training, the effectiveness of the two teaching methods was evaluated through exit assessments,an Adult Learning Satisfaction Scale, and a Nursing Professional Students'Autonomous Learning Ability Scale. Results:The theoretical examination and skill operation scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of the experimental group in the Adult Learning Satisfaction Scale for learning process, content, outcomes, environment, and interpersonal relationships were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of the experimental group in the Nursing Professional Students'Autonomous Learning Ability Scale for identifying learning needs, time management, learning monitoring, information channel expansion, information analysis and processing, and communication ability were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The teaching method of a flipped classroom combined with the WeChat platform can improve the effectiveness of standardized training for newly employed nurses in the emergency department and contribute to the cultivation of their autonomous learning abilities.
