Research on the Application of Mind Mapping and BOPPPS Teaching Model in Undergraduate Nursing Students'Surgical Practice Teaching
Objective:To explore the effectiveness of the Mind Mapping combined with BOPPPS teaching model in the surgical practice teaching of undergraduate nursing students in the colorectal surgery ward.Methods:A convenience sampling method was used.Thirty-nine undergraduate nursing students who interned in the colorectal surgery ward of our hospital in 2022 were selected as the control group and were taught using the traditional teaching model.Forty-six undergraduate nursing students who interned in the same ward in 2023 were selected as the experimental group and were taught using the Mind Mapping combined with BOPPPS teaching model.The course assessment scores,learning proactivity,value-added internship performance,and course teaching satisfaction between the two groups were compared.Results:The experimental group had higher clinical theoretical and practical assessment scores,learning proactivity,and course teaching satisfaction than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The Mind Mapping combined with BOPPPS teaching model is beneficial for improving theoretical and practical performance,learning proactivity,and course teaching satisfaction of undergraduate nursing students in the surgical ward.It is suitable for clinical teaching in surgical nursing.
