Survey on Smartphone Usage Among Post-2000 Medical Students
Objective:This study aims to investigate the smartphone usage patterns among post-2000 medical students and provide targeted recommendations for identified issues.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted online among 427 post-2000 medical students to assess their smartphone usage.The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test.Results:Post-2000 medical students exhibit prolonged and frequent smartphone usage:75.6%use their phones for more than 4 hours daily,70.2%use their phones every 30 minutes,and 73.3%continue using their phones after 23:00.Only 9.1%of students believe they can effectively control their smartphone usage.Conclusion:It is recommended to implement relevant policies and measures to effectively manage and guide smartphone usage among post-2000 medical students.This approach aims to prevent excessive dependence while avoiding blind rejection,thereby safeguarding students'physical and mental health and promoting their comprehensive development.
