Study on the Relationship between Professional Background of Counselors in Medical Colleges and Examination Scores——A Case Study of A Medical College
Purpose:To understand the correlation between the professional background of counselors and examination scores,providing reliable data support for establishing scientific and reasonable recruitment conditions for counselors,optimizing the structure of counselor teams,improving the training mechanism for counselors,and enhancing the overall level of counselor teams in medical colleges.Methods:Using whether the counselor's own professional background matches the students'major as a multi-level grouping variable,Kruskal-Wallis H test was employed to analyze the overall distribution of counselor assessment rankings and perform multiple comparisons between groups.Results:The overall analysis showed H=9.601,P<0.05,indicating statistically significant differences in counselor assessment rankings among the three groups:consistent group,ideological and political group,and inconsistent group.Multiple comparisons using the Mann-Whitney U test revealed that counselors whose professional background was inconsistent with the students'major performed significantly better in assessments compared to those in the consistent group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in assessment rankings between the ideological and political group and the other groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:There are differences in counselor assessment rankings among the three groups,with counselors whose professional background is inconsistent with the students'major performing better than those in the consistent group.There was no significant difference in assessment rankings between the ideological and political group and the other groups.
