Application of Virtual Operation Training System in Undergraduate Teaching of Preparation of Pulp Cavity in Primary Molars
Objective:To explore the application of virtual operation training in Undergraduate teaching of preparation of pulp cavity in primary molars.Methods:Sixty undergraduate students from the School of Stomatology,Peking University were selected and divided into a virtual teaching group(experimental group)and a Kavo head-simulator teaching group(control group).After training exercises,operational assessments and questionnaire surveys were conducted.Results:Virtual practice helped students master certain technical points.Students generally appreciated virtual training,with most believing that head-simulator practice was more helpful in improving their operational skills.Conclusion:Virtual operation training can complement traditional teaching methods,but continuous improvement is necessary for future applications.
