Application of Modified CBD Teaching Method with Teaching Physicians Acting as SPs in Neurosurgery Clerkship
Objective:To explore the application effectiveness of the modified CBD teaching method with teaching physicians acting as simulated patients(SPs)in neurosurgery clerkship. Methods:Forty five-year undergraduate students undergoing neurosurgery clerkship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University from July 2022 to December 2022 were selected as study subjects. The experimental group(n=20)used the modified CBD teaching method with teaching physicians acting as SPs,while the control group(n=20)used traditional CBD teaching methods.Quantitative assessments were conducted at the end of the clerkship rotation. Results:The experimental group achieved significantly higher scores in physical examination and clinical reasoning compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in theoretical examination and interpretation of auxiliary examination results(P>0.05).Conclusion:The modified CBD teaching method with teaching physicians acting as SPs is a recommended approach for neurosurgery clerkship teaching.
