Study on Clinical Practicum Model of Dermatology in Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery Based on OBE Concept
Objective:Introduce the Outcome-Based Education(OBE)concept into the clinical practicum teaching of dermatology in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)surgery, and analyze the effects of the OBE-based clinical practicum model in TCM dermatology teaching reform practice. Methods:Students undergoing clinical practicum in dermatology of TCM surgery were divided into two groups based on odd and even weeks. The even-week group served as the control group, receiving traditional teaching methods, while the odd-week group served as the experimental group, receiving OBE teaching methods. The study evaluated the learning outcomes of students under both teaching models through final exam scores and questionnaire surveys. Results:The experimental group showed significantly higher final exam scores and satisfaction in the questionnaire survey compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing the OBE teaching model in the clinical practicum teaching reform enhances the utilization of teaching resources, reduces classroom teaching time, improves students'self-learning abilities, and demonstrates innovative and practical value. This model provides a new approach for exploring teaching reforms in TCM education.
