Based on OSCE Training Combined with PBL Teaching Method to Enhance Clinical Work Abilities of Resident Nurses
Objective:This study explores the application effectiveness of OSCE training combined with Problem-Based Learning(PBL)in improving the clinical work abilities of resident nurses. Methods:A total of 70 newly recruited nurses from 2016 to 2018 were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 35 participants in each group. The control group received conventional teaching methods, while the experimental group received OSCE training combined with PBL on top of conventional methods.Clinical work ability assessments were conducted before and after training for both groups, and patient satisfaction surveys were administered after the training. The results of clinical work ability assessments and patient satisfaction surveys between the two groups were analyzed. Results:The total score of clinical work abilities in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).Regarding satisfaction, patients'evaluations of professional ethics, work skills, communication, and service attitude of nurses in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:OSCE combined with PBL teaching method can significantly improve the clinical work abilities of resident nurses and increase patient satisfaction.
