Construction and Practice of Online Course on Geriatric Nursing Based on Orem's Self-Care Model
Objective:This study aimed to explore the application effectiveness of an online course on geriatric nursing based on Orem's self-care model.Methods:A total of 56 students from the 2016 cohort served as the control group and received traditional teaching methods,while 50 students from the 2017 cohort formed the experimental group and participated in an online course on geriatric nursing based on Orem's self-care model.Group comparisons were conducted using t-tests.Results:The experimental group achieved higher scores in group assignments compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,over 86%of students in the experimental group affirmed the content,deli very method,and effectiveness of the online course based on Orem's self-care model.Conclusion:The online course on geriatric nursing based on Orem's self-care model demonstrated positive teaching effectiveness and was well-received by students.
