Zhejiang University School of Medicine has implemented a series of reforms in the five-year clinical medicine program to cultivate high-quality clinical medical talents for the new era.We particularly focused on the integration and connection between basic knowledge courses and clinical practice courses, emphasizing the role of clinical skills training courses as a bridge. We have introduced innovative educational models for clinical skills training courses, such as the"advanced four-stage model,"to replace traditional multimedia teacher-led demonstrations in classrooms. These reforms aim to enhance students'self-learning abilities, clinical skills and thinking, medical humanities literacy,teamwork,decision-making abilities, and alertness, both in technical and non-technical skills, with the goal of nurturing outstanding comprehensive medical talents for the new era.
