A Longitudinal Study on the Correlation between Happiness and Learning Adaptation of Medical Freshmen
Objective:To explore the changes of the correlation between learning adaptation and happiness of medical freshmen at different time points under the background of COVID-19 epidemic;Methods:From October 2020 to January 2021,152 freshmen were conveniently selected and followed up at three time points within 1 week,1 month and 3 months after enrollment,using the College Students'Happiness Questionnaire and Learning Adaptability Scale to investigate the learning adaptation and happiness of 152 freshmen;Results:The total score of happiness of medical freshmen was positively correlated with the total score of learning adaptability and the scores of each dimension within 1 week after enrollment(r=0.205 to r=0.613);The total score of happiness of medical freshmen was positively correlated with the total score of learning adaptability and the scores of each dimension at 1 month after enrollment(r=0.197 to r=0.678);The total score of happiness of medical freshmen was dynamically and positively correlated with the total score of learning adaptability and the scores of each dimension at 3 months after enrollment(r=0.294 to r=0.616);Conclusion:The level of happiness of freshmen is positively correlated with learning adaptability.Therefore,we should actively seek strategies to improve freshmen's learning adaptability and optimistic attitude.
