Application of POGIL-RISE Integrated Teaching Method in Emergency Nursing Training
Objective:To explore the application effect of Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning(POGIL)combined with Literature Oriented Self-learning(RISE)teaching methods in emergency nursing training. Methods Fifty nursing students undergoing clinical rotation internship from March 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into two phases based on their rotation period. The control group(25 students)received conventional clinical rotation teaching methods, while the experimental group(25 students)received clinical rotation teaching using the POGIL-RISE combined method. Results The experimental group showed significantly higher scores in basic theoretical knowledge, basic practical operations, and comprehensive nursing abilities compared to the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.001).The experimental group also demonstrated higher scores in autonomous learning ability compared to the control group(124.28±6.865 vs 71.68±22.454),with statistical significance(P<0.001).Conclusion The use of the POGIL-RISE combined teaching method for standardized training of nursing students during emergency rotation internship effectively enhances students'autonomous learning ability,as well as their mastery of basic knowledge and development of comprehensive abilities.
