Role of Standardized Patients in Communication Training for Chronic Respiratory Disease Management
Objective:To compare the application effect of standardized patients versus traditional teaching methods in communication training for chronic respiratory disease management. Methods:A total of 118 resident doctors undergoing standardized training in PCCM department from June 2020 to February 2021 were randomly divided into the standardized patient group(experimental group)and traditional teaching group(control group). The differences in clinical knowledge test scores and doctor-patient communication were compared. Results:The test scores of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, and the SEGUE scores in doctor-patient communication were also higher in the experimental group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:The standardized patient teaching method can improve residents'communication skills with patients, thus building better doctor-patient relationships, which is conducive to managing chronic respiratory diseases.
