A Survey on Medical Students'Awareness and Application of Digital Histological Slides
Digital slides are images created by scanning glass slides with a microscopy scanning system, capturing all the information present on the glass slides. The survey results indicate that 52.6%(840/1596)of students accept the exclusive use of digital slides for histological experimental teaching.Additionally,53.9%(861/1596)of students agree that digital slides are the electronic version of glass slides, and 91.2%(785/861)accept the exclusive use of digital slides for histological experimental teaching.Furthermore,75.0%(1197/1596)of students spend most of their time observing digital slides, with 70.2%(840/1197)accepting the exclusive use of digital slides for histological experimental teaching. The students'awareness in these aspects does not show significant correlation with their gender, major,or year(P>0.05).Therefore,from the students'perspective, gradually replacing glass slides with digital slides for histological experimental teaching is feasible.
