Application of the ADDIE Model Combined with Workshop Teaching Method in Training New Nurses in Emergency and Critical Care
Objective:To combine the ADDIE model with the workshop teaching method to develop a training program for new nurses in emergency and critical care and to evaluate its effectiveness. Methods:Guided by the ADDIE model,a training program for new nurses in emergency and critical care was constructed through theoretical analysis, qualitative interviews, literature review, group discussions, and expert meetings. The program was applied to 46 new nurses in the emergency and critical care department of a tertiary hospital in 2022,and its effectiveness was evaluated. Results:The final training program included 3 primary items,22 secondary items, and a total of 94 hours of training over four months, covering humanistic care, theoretical training, and skill operations. After training, the nurses'general self-efficacy,core competencies, theoretical knowledge, and simulation assessment scores were(14.59±1.38),(160.78±10.14),(85.73±7.43),and(91.52±2.97),respectively,showing significant improvement compared to before(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction score for the training program was(24.04±0.92).Conclusion:The training program for new nurses in emergency and critical care, based on the ADDIE model combined with the workshop teaching method,is scientifically sound and effective, providing a theoretical basis for specialized nurse training.
