Analysis of the Current Status and Training Needs of Endoscopy Nurses Based on Job Competency
Objective:To investigate the current status and training needs of endoscopy nurses based on job competency and to provide references for developing a training system for endoscopy specialists.Methods:Based on job competency and expert consultation,a survey questionnaire titled"Current Status and Needs of Endoscopy Training"was designed.A questionnaire survey was conducted to assess the training status and needs regarding content,methods,and other aspects among endoscopy nurses in Zhejiang Province.Results:Endoscopy nurseshave a high overall demand for training;however,their needs for training content and modes are not fully met.There are differences in training content needs based on education level,years of endoscopy work experience,and job positions(P<0.05).Statistically significant differences were found in patient safety care among nurses with different education levels,titles,and positions(P<0.05).There were also significant differences in endoscopy care quality management and leadership development among nurses with different titles and positions(P<0.05),and in interdisciplinary knowledge expansion based on years of endoscopy work experience and job positions(P<0.05).Conclusion:On-the-job training for endoscopy nurses should be strengthened,with necessary collaboration with in-house training.Targeted endoscopy care training should be implemented based on different education levels,years of experience,titles,and positions,using diverse training methods to meet the training needs of endoscopy nurses and improve the quality of specialized endoscopy care.
