Preliminary Exploration of Cultivating Research Skills for Clinical Medicine Professional Master's Degree Students in the Context of the"Dual-Track Integration"Model
The study aims to explore the research and innovation skill cultivation model for clinical medicine master's students within the"dual-track integration"education framework.A total of 60 clinical medicine master's students from Hainan Medical University, enrolled in 2017,were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 students in each group. The control group received conventional residency training, while the experimental group received additional specialized research training. Both groups were evaluated for their research skills before and after training, including literature search, reading, proposal writing, and paper writing abilities. Results showed that after the training, the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in research skills, and also performed better in graduation assessments, project applications, paper publications, and research awards. However, the experimental group's satisfaction with the research training was lower than that of the control group. Therefore, the study suggests that early reinforcement of research training under the"dual-track integration"model helps enhance the research and comprehensive medical skills of clinical medicine master's students.
