Investigation of University Students'Self-Study Conditions After Reform of Class Duration
Objective:Self-study is a crucial method for university students to learn their specialized subjects and directly impacts learning outcomes.In the first semester of 2020,our university implemented a reform in class duration,providing students with more time for self-directed learning.This study aims to analyze the impact of the class duration reform on students by investigating their learning motivations,content,methods,planning,and effective use of learning time.Methods:Online and offline surveys were conducted to assess the impact of the class duration reform on students.The survey focused on various aspects including learning motivation,content,methods,planning,and effective use of learning time.Results:Medical students generally demonstrated good self-study habits in their specialized courses.The survey results led to some reflections and suggestions.Conclusion:After the reform in class duration,most medical students developed an awareness of utilizing self-directed learning time,recognized the importance of autonomous learning,and were able to choose learning content based on their personal interests.
