Application of Flipped Classroom Combined with PBL in Medical Prevention and Control Teaching in General Universities
Objective:To explore the effectiveness of combining the flipped classroom model with problem-based learning(PBL)in teaching medical prevention and control to undergraduates at a domestic university. Methods:Eighty undergraduate students were selected during the COVID-19 pandemic from May to June 2020 and randomly divided into two groups. The control group received online teaching through PBL alone, while the experimental group received online teaching combining the flipped classroom model with PBL.The teaching content focused on medical knowledge related to COVID-19 prevention and control. Results:The experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in both theoretical knowledge assessment and classroom satisfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of the flipped classroom model with PBL shows significant advantages and is recommended for broader application in teaching medical prevention and control in general universities.
