Application of Flipped Classroom Combined with PBL in Teaching Palliative Care for End-Stage Heart Failure
Objective:To compare the effectiveness of the flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning(PBL)versus case-based learning(CBL)in teaching palliative care for end-stage heart failure. Methods:Sixty second-year resident doctors from Yuebei People's Hospital were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 30 doctors in each group. The experimental group received teaching using the flipped classroom combined with PBL,while the control group received CBL-based teaching. Results:The experimental group scored higher in theoretical knowledge assessments than the control group(P<0.001).Additionally,the experimental group demonstrated superior clinical practice skills and higher satisfaction among patients and their families compared to the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion:The flipped classroom combined with PBL proves to be more effective in teaching palliative care for end-stage heart failure.
