Objective:To study the effectiveness of scenario-based teaching methods in emergency rescue skills training for medical students.Methods:167 students enrolled in the public self-rescue and mutual rescue emergency skills training course were selected. The control group(n=85)used traditional teaching methods, while the experimental group(n=82)employed scenario-based teaching methods.the skill test scores and critical thinking abilities of both groups were analyzed. Results:The experimental group had significantly higher skill test scores than the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the experimental group outperformed the control group in overall critical thinking scores and in specific dimensions such as systematic ability, curiosity, analytical skills, and confidence in judgment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Scenario-based teaching methods significantly improve teaching outcomes and enhance students'critical thinking abilities.
