Exploration of the Practice in Building a Course on Selected Cases of Traditional Chinese Medicin(TCM)for Febrile Diseases
Objective:To explore the application effect of a course on selected cases of TCM for febrile diseases in the teaching of Wenbing(Warm Disease)to the 2018 cohort of TCM undergraduates at Hainan Medical University.Methods:Students from the 2017 and 2018 TCM undergraduate classes were divided into control and experimental groups.The experimental group received additional instruction in the selected cases of TCM for febrile diseases in their Wenbing course.Post-course,the performance of the two groups was analyzed.Results:The experimental group scored significantly higher in routine,final,and comprehensive assessments compared to the control group(P<0.05).Although there was no significant difference in the rates of excellent and pass grades between the two groups(P>0.05),the experimental group had a higher rate of good and average grades(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early introduction,specialization,and stratification in the course on selected cases of TCM for febrile diseases meet the needs for training professionals in this field,promote the development of TCM talents,and strengthen the construction of TCM curricula.
