Analysis of the Effect of Applying Chain Management in Standardized Residency Training
Objective:To evaluate the effect of chain management on standardized residency training over a two-year period.Methods:The chain management concept was introduced to construct a management system,streamline evaluation units,and establish operational and supervision mechanisms among units.After two years of implementation,the outcomes were observed.Results:The percentile ranking of trainees in the national annual competency tests improved from(59.0±8.7)in 2018 to(67.4±9.5)in 2019 and(72.0±23.3)in 2020.The hospital's residency training work ranking improved from 54th in 2018 to 25th in 2019 and 21st in 2020.In 2019,one specialty ranked first in the province,and three specialties ranked in the top three.In 2020,two specialties ranked first nationally,and two ranked in the top three provincially.Conclusion:Chain management may improve the quality of residency training by enhancing process control.
