Investigation on the Guidance and Educational Needs of Class Mentors for Clinical Medicine"5+3"Integrated Medical Students
A self-designed online questionnaire was used to analyze the learning status and needs of 145 clinical medicine"5+3"integrated students at Dalian Medical University.Results indicate that 46.90%of students experience significant or considerable learning pressure,with higher pressure in upper grades compared to lower grades(P<0.01).Students primarily use their free time for professional study,reading extracurricular books,participating in club activities,and engaging in physical exercise,although 54.48%also spend time on mobile games.Students most desire guidance from their class mentors on professional study and career planning,with significant gender differences(P<0.01).The top three goals for students during university are mastering medical basic knowledge,passing the National English CET-4 and CET-6 exams,and acquiring basic clinical skills.Understanding the learning status and needs of students can help in formulating class mentor guidance and education approaches better suited to the characteristics and needs of"5+3"medical students.
