Construction and Implementation of a Clinical Thinking Training Model Based on Standardized Patients and Simulation in Nursing Student Education:A Research Analysis
Objective:To investigate the impact of training using standardized patients combined with scenario-based simulation on nursing students'clinical thinking abilities. Methods:This study was a non-synchronous experimental design.A convenience sampling method was used to select 38 undergraduate nursing interns from the Digestive Medicine Department at Zhejiang University School of Medicine First Affiliated Hospital from June 2019 to February 2020 as the control group, who received traditional teaching methods.Another 39 undergraduate nursing interns from the same department from June 2020 to February 2022 constituted the experimental group, which received training incorporating standardized patients and scenario-based simulations. The Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise(Mini-CEX)scale was used to evaluate clinical thinking ability in the exit exam. Results:The clinical thinking ability of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01),according to Mini-CEX scores. Conclusion:The use of standardized patients combined with scenario-based simulation teaching methods can reduce anxiety, enhance self-directed learning, and significantly improve nursing students'clinical thinking abilities. This approach substantially enhances the effectiveness of training and education.
