The Impact of Case Report Practice on Intern Training in Clinical Dentistry
Objective:To explore the impact of the case report model on the theoretical and practical abilities of dental interns during their clinical training.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted to classify dental interns in Hangzhou into high-frequency,medium-frequency,and low-frequency groups based on their participation in case report activities during their internships.The case report scores,graduation theory exam scores,and practical exam scores of each group were analyzed,and student satisfaction with the case report model was evaluated.Results:Significant differences were found among the three groups in case report scores and graduation theory exam scores,while no significant differences were observed in graduation practical exam scores.Nearly 100%of the interns believed that the case report model during internships contributed to improving their mastery of professional knowledge,self-learning ability,learning interest,clinical thinking and innovation skills,dental diagnosis and treatment abilities,PPT creation skills,and literature search capabilities.Conclusion:The case report model in clinical dental internship teaching effectively enhances interns'case report skills and graduation theoretical exam performance.Interns showed a high level of acceptance and recognition of the case report model.
