Application of SBME Combined with SBAR Teaching Method in Emergency Department Nursing Education
Objective:To evaluate the effect of applying the SBME combined with SBAR teaching method in emergency department nursing education.Method:48 nursing students from the emergency department,who interned from January 2020 to January 2021,were selected as subjects.They were divided into two groups:the control group received traditional clinical teaching,while the experimental group received clinical teaching based on the SBME combined with SBAR method.Results:The experimental group scored higher in theoretical knowledge,specialized operational ability,and basic nursing skills than the control group,with significant statistical differences(P<0.05).The experimental group also scored higher in Mini-CEX evaluations,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:The SBME combined with SBAR teaching method can improve nursing students'clinical communication skills,psychological care for patients,and shorten the clinical adaptation period.
