Application of TBL Combined with Concept Mapping in Clinical Nursing Education for Emergency Surgery
Objective:To explore the methods and effects of applying team-based learning(TBL)combined with concept mapping in clinical teaching for emergency surgery nursing. Methods:A total of 80 undergraduate nursing students who interned in the emergency surgery department of our hospital from August 2019 to May 2021 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group adopted TBL combined with concept mapping, while the control group used traditional teaching methods. The students'academic performance and critical thinking abilities were assessed. Results:All students passed the theoretical and skill assessments. The experimental group showed significantly higher scores in theory, skill operations, and critical thinking than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of TBL combined with concept mapping in clinical nursing education for emergency surgery can effectively improve the academic performance and critical thinking abilities of nursing interns.
