The Analysis of current situation and influencing factors of elderly people's utilization of community traditional Chinese medicine services in Zhengzhou City
Objective The policy recommendations are proposed to better play the role of community traditional Chinese medicine service(CTCMS)in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases by analyzing the current situation and influencing factors of elderly people's CTCMS utilization in Zhengzhou City.Methods The community health service centers(CHSCs)in the four districts in Zhengzhou City were randomly selected by using a stratified random sampling method from September 2022 to January 2023.A questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 elderly people aged ≥60 in the CHSCs.Using binary logistic regression analysis to investigate the factors influencing elderly people's utilization of CTCMS.Results The results of single factor analysis showed there were significant differences in the influencing factors such as gender,occupation,whether it was convenient for them to visit the CHSCs,and the demand level of the CTCMS utilization by elderly people in the community(P＜0.05).Conclusion The key factors affecting the elderly's access to CTCMS are whether they have received relevant publicity on CTCMS,whether it is convenient to visit CHSCs,and the level of demand for CTCMS.Therefore,targeted measures such as strengthening education on traditional Chinese medicine knowledge among the elderly,increasing publicity and promotion of CTCMS,and strengthening the construction of CHSCs should be taken to improve the utilization rate of CTCMS among the elderly.
