Objective To investigate the influencing factors of caries in children aged 3-6 years old in Yongkang City,Zhejiang Province,and put forward the corresponding family oral health management strategies.Methods Six hundred and four preschool children aged 3-6 years old and their parents from 10 kindergartens in this area were randomly selected as the research subjects from January 2022 to June 2023.A questionnaire survey and a binary logistic regression model were used to analyze the influencing factors of dental caries.Results Among 604 children,361 were diagnosed with caries,with a caries prevalence rate of 59.77％.The independent risk factors of dental caries in 3-6 years old children in Yongkang City were age,fluoride toothpaste use,age of starting brushing and brushing time per time,etc.(P＜0.05).Conclusion The prevalence of caries in children aged 3-6 years old in Yongkang is above average in the eastern region of China.It is necessary to formulate corresponding family management strategies according to the risk factors of caries in order to reduce the prevalence of caries in children in Yongkang and ensure oral health.
