Objective To describe the publication status of China-related domestic articles in the field of operation and management of public hospitals since the new medical reform(2009-2023),to analyze the capacity and challenges,and to propose recommendations.Methods Searches were conducted in the CNKI database,and the visual analysis software CiteSpace 6.2.R2 and Excel 2016 were used as tools to analyze literatures.Results A total of 301 domestic articles were included,the number of articles related to the operation and management of public hospitals in China showed an overall upward trend,from 1 to 39.The dominance of hospitals(mainly tertiary hospitals),to which the first author belongs,was evident compared to other institutions.In terms of fund support,provincial funds were the main source of support.The research hotspots of the articles were highly consistent,and clearly reflected the focus on economic operations,management accounting,financial management and performance management.Conclusion Since the new medical reform,public hospital operation and management research articles have grown rapidly in China,the relevant research has generally shown a benign development trend,the research ability of domestic researchers has significantly improved.As the number of articles increases,researchers need to pay more attention to research quality and policy feasibility,so as to further improve the research capacity of China's public hospital operation and management.
