In 2008,an outbreak of hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)in Fuyang,Anhui Province,caused the deaths of many children and caused widespread concern in the society.In the same year,HFMD was included in the management of Class C infectious diseases in China.After years of prevention and control,China had made positive progress in HFMD prevention and control,and the serious and mortality rates of HFMD had declined significantly.However,the incidence rate of HFMD remained high,and seriously threatened children's health.Children were not only vulnerable groups but also sensitive groups.HFMD infection involved many social problems,such as medical treatment,suspension of classes,accompanying parents and so on.How to reduce the rate of infection while reducing the rate of severe illness and mortality was a problem worth discussing.It analyzed the challenges of HFMD prevention and control in China,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,in order to providing reference for the HFMD prevention and control.
