Objective To understand the stigma level and its influencing factors in young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods Young and middle-aged T2DM patients treated in Hangzhou First People's Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the convenience sample.Patients were surveyed by using the"general data questionnaire"etc.the related factors affecting stigma in young and middle-aged T2DM were analyzed by multiple linear regression.Results The total score of stigma in young and middle-aged T2DM patients was(59.24±9.67).Household per capita monthly income(t=-3.602),duration of disease(t=2.963),complications(t=4.229),insulin treatment(t=3.511),level of social support(t=-6.552),and psychological resilience(t=-6.373)were factors influencing stigma in type 2 diabetes(P<0.05).Conclusion The stigma of young and middle-aged T2DM patients is at a medium level,which is mainly related to family economic income,course of disease,combined complications,and insulin treatment.Improving the psychological resilience and social support can help to reduce the stigma of patients.
