Objective To analyze the current situation of myopia prevalence among college students in Yinchuan City,explore the myopia influencing factors,and provide effective theoretical basis for myopia prevention and control among college students.Methods A total of 1 453 college students from 4 universities were enrolled in the survey in September 2019 by stratified cluster random sampling,questionnaire surveys,physical measurements and visual acuity tests were conducted.Results The overall myopia detection rate of college students was 88.9％in Yinchuan City.The detection rate of myopia among undergraduate students was significantly higher than that of vocational students.Undergraduate stu-dents were mainly characterized by moderate and high myopia,while vocational students were mainly characterized by mild myopia,there was a statistically difference between two grouup(x2=123.556,P＜0.001).The results of binary lo-gistic regression analysis showed that not wearing glasses was a common risk factor for myopia among undergraduate(OR=5.171)and vocational(OR=4.041)students.Conclusion The detection rate of myopia among college stu-dents was high in Yinchuan,Ningxia,and not wearing glasses was a risk factor for myopic college students.Therefore,the threshold of myopia health education and prevention should be moved forward,so as to maximize the visual health of people of all ages.
