Objective By collecting and sorting out the domestic and foreign research literature and news reports on the supply of medical resources during the COVID-19 pandemic,to summarize the impact and distribution characteristics of the COVID-19 pandemic on medical resources, and provide reference for the scientific response and disposal of the shortage of medical resources. Methods The literature research analysis and news report analysis methods were used to sort out and summarize the relevant literature and report content, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on medi-cal resources and medical services and related characteristics were retrospectively analyzed. Results A total of 18 re-search literatures and 25 news reports were included. The time distribution of the shortage of medical resources in the ep-idemic was mainly the peak period and the severe progress period of the epidemic. The distribution of locations was main-ly hospitals, involving ICU and related outpatient clinics. The population distribution mainly included new coronary pa-tients,medical staff and other personnel. Conclusion The shortage of medical resources has the characteristics of long-time span, wide spatial distribution and diverse population distribution. How to solve the problems of insufficient supply, improper allocation of medical resources in the epidemic and how to realize the early warning of public medical resource capacity are the research directions that need to be further explored in the future.
