The high global prevalence of severe mental disorders has become a public health concern for all countries.Recently,significant progress has been made in domestic research on the treatment and assistance of severe mental dis-orders,by collecting and sorting out the relevant policy documents on the treatment and assistance of patients with se-vere mental disorders,and reviewing the evolution process and effective measures of treatment and assistance policies for patients with severe mental disorders in the context of time in China,it is found that there is still a shortage of treat-ment and assistance resources for patients with severe mental disorders in China,the allocation of psychiatric beds and physician resources is unreasonable,and the treatment and assistance projects lack integration,the scope of treatment and assistance to patients needs to be expanded.It is recommended that efforts to treat and assist patients should be im-proved by increasing investment in medical resources for treatment and assistance,rationally allocating mental health medical resources,fully integrating resources for treatment and assistance,and broadening the group of patients for treatment and assistance.
