Investigation and emergency disposal of a food poisoning incident in a tour group at Xiamen port
Objective Through the investigation of a food poisoning incident in a tour group and analysis of the emergency response,to improve the level of response to public health emergencies at grassroots ports,to prevent the happening of the similar incidents again.Methods A food poisoning incident involving a tour group at Wutong Wharf of Xiamen port in November,2020 was retrospectively analyzed.Epidemiological investigation,field inspection and laboratory testing were used to review and analyze the closing report,port food poisoning accident report registration form,port food poisoning accident case investigation registration form,port food poisoning accident investigation report form,and other materials.Results Based on the field epidemiological investigation and clinical manifestations of the main symptoms of abdominal pain,diarrhea,nausea,vomiting,the collected patients'anal swab was serologically identified as positive for Vibrio parahaemolyticus,it was an incident of food poisoning caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus,the contaminated food was unknown.The incidence was ended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Huli District,Xiamen and Xiamen Customs,respectively.Conclusion The risk of public health emergencies in the port area of the tour group,heightened sensitivity,elevated level of concern and extensive cooperation should attract the attention of local Customs.
