Analysis of syphilis infection status among 15 082 patients in a hospital in Jinan
Objective To analyze the syphilis infection status of patients in dermatology outpatient department of a third Class A hospital in Jinan,explore the related factors affecting syphilis infection,so as to provide scientific basis for comprehensive prevention and treatment and intervention of syphilis.Methods A total of 15 082 patients who visited the Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Treponema pallidum particle agglutination test(TPPA)and syphilis rapid plasma reagin ring card test(RPR)were used for detection,and the results were statistically analyzed.Results The general infection rate of syphilis among 15 082 patients was 14.54%,with the male infection rate of 12.32%and female infection rate of 18.06%.The infection rate in female was significantly higher than that in male,with statistically significant difference(x2=94.888,P<0.001).The high incidence of syphilis was 19-29 years old and above 50 years old,with the lowest infection rate in 18 years old and below.The differences between the groups were statistically significant(x2=223.984,P<0.001).The highest infection rate was 15.07%in 2019 and the lowest infection rate was 13.23%in 2022.Conclusion The main population of syphilis infected in Jinan was aged 19-29 and over 50 years old,and the infection rate of women was higher than that of men.In recent years,the infection rate showed a decreasing trend.
